Reorder points per SKU, per service level, per segment. Uses your supplier's lead time variability, not their average. Most brands use one safety stock number for the whole catalog. That single choice is why the same twelve SKUs run out every month.
Sorts your catalog on two axes at once: value (A/B/C) and demand stability (X/Y/Z). An AX item and a CZ item should never be managed the same way. This tells you which is which in about four minutes.

Google Sheets. Everything is built there and you get a copy link. It opens in Excel too but a couple of formulas behave differently, so Sheets is the supported version.
